Planning Process and Timeline
- Dean's Office Central Admin Budget Timeline
- February - Budget Analyst sets meeting dates and gather budget assumptions
- March - Budget Analyst meets with units; new budget requests and requests for budget augmentation are due at the end of the month (links to budget request forms are found below)
- Position Control Process is part of the annual budget request. Pre-approval is required for personnel changes such as new position, reclassification, exceptional equity increase, additional compensation, etc.
- April - Unit leadership submits proposed budgets
- May - Vice Dean for Education and DO Budget Team finalize PowerPoint presentations for SOM leadership review
- June – Dean makes decision about budget requests
- Approximately July - DO Budget Team will share Dean's decisions on submitted budget requests
- MedEd Budget Process and Timeline
- MedEd units follow similar timeline (from February to June) as Central Admin units with additional meetings for the administrative leadership team and education deans.
- Budget Requests: Dean's Office uses rubrics to rate each request in respect to our priorities and strategic plans. Visit the following links to access the budget request forms:
