School of Medicine Bridge Funding Program

Full-time faculty members in the School of Medicine are eligible to apply for the next round of bridge funding. This program is designed to provide temporary (up to 12 months) and partial support during continuing efforts to obtain full extramural funding.
 
Applications will be evaluated by a faculty committee seeking to identify and support faculty members who are likely to be funded upon submission of amended applications (based on scores and comments in previous round(s) of review).
 
Priority will be given to two groups of faculty members: 1) established (associate and full rank) faculty with experienced research teams that are threatened with disruption due to fiscal challenges and 2) new (assistant rank) investigators with one or more rounds of well-scored but unfunded federal applications and who are within one year of exhausting their startup funds.
 
Award Periods:

Summer Cycle: August 1, 2019 – July 31, 2020
Winter Cycle: February 1, 2020 – January 31, 2021
