Beginning Spring 2015, all REAC grants terminate 18 months from date of award, the original 12-month award period plus a six-month grace period.  Six-month extensions beyond this date will be granted if appropriate justification is given.

In requesting an extension, the principal investigator should write a memo to the chair of the committee outlining the following:

  1. The reason for the extension request

  2. Expenditures to date and budget remaining

  3. Proposed expenditures

Transfer of funds

Transfer of funds from one category to another requires signature approval by the committee through the Dean's Office, School of Medicine.
