Third year medical student Bernadette Lim is a recipient of the 2020 American Association of Medical Colleges Herbert W. Nickens Medical Student Scholarship

This national award is given to five outstanding students entering their third year of medical school who have shown leadership efforts to eliminate inequities in medical education and health care and demonstrated leadership in addressing the educational, societal, and health care needs of minorities. Bernadette is a medical student in the UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program (JMP) and UCSF Program in Medical Education for the Urban Underserved (PRIME-US)
