Completing an application to the CHR is a critical part of educational scholarship. This workshop will be offered as a collaboration between the UCSF CHR and the Office of Medical Education to help faculty, residents and students complete successful CHR applications. The workshop will be a combination of didactics and application exercises where individuals can use their own examples.

At the end of the workshop the participants will be able to:

• Determine the appropriate category for their educational research.
• Complete an application using guidelines to ensure that the research nature of the study is apparent to the reviewer.
• Describe tips/strategies that address ensuring confidentiality and/or anonymity.
