Removing Font Formatting

Please do not leave or create font formatting in your documents. There may be residual font formatting from previous versions of your page. In the new templates, a link to the CSS document declaring font formatting is in the head of each .aspx template you use so you will never need to format fonts.

Dreamweaver can clean up these font tags for you very simply. This is what you do:

  • Open the document.
  • In the 'design/redesign view' select the text, or 'select all'.
  • Choose Text > Font > Default to remove font-family.
  • Choose Text > Size > Default to remove font-size.
  • Save, then check your work in both IE and Netscape.
