- Announcements:
-
We are in the process of refining our site's metadata and are requesting that you review your sites' metadata. If your metadata is inaccurate, missing or out of date, please let us know so that we can work with you to correct it. Please see the original announcement for more information and for instructions on viewing your metadata.
- We will be implementing the new LeftHandNav style during the period from 12/15 through 1/15. During that period we will not update your navigation entries. Also be aware that your LeftHandNavigation may appear wrong or strange on the integration server.
- Our server cleanup was very successful. As you know, we deleted over 2000 outdated and extraneous files from our site. When this was done, we checked our site and found only approximately 6-8 broken links.
- Presentation: Sharon Reynolds discussed Google/Search engine indexing. This was a very interesting and informative presentation. There were several handouts, all of which were very useful. I recommend you print them out and look them over:
- Tutorial Review: Please
note that
we have posted the revised School of Medicine WebSite workflow. It outlines step-by-step the procedures for editing or creating a web page within our new template and style system. Each step of the process is linked to relevant tutorials. Please review it. You may want to open it the next time you are working on a page to be sure you are going through it step by step. It is also available in PDF format if you wish to print it out and have it next to you the next time you are working on a page.
- New sites in progress: We are currently converting these sites to our new design: Accepted, Curriculum, Student Research, Family Medicine
- , please contact me if you would like to make a suggestion or a request:
- Do any of you have web expertise which you would like to share with the group? We are looking for speakers for our upcoming meetings.
- Are there any topics you would like to see covered in our meetings?
- Do you have any suggestions for improved workflow?
