We will introduce the "Announcements" area of the WebResources site. After we have disseminated important announcements via our normal channels, we will post them here as a reference source and as an archive.
Update on server cleanup. We have identified over 2000 files for removal! Thank you for helping us on this project. We have removed the files from staging. It is now imperative that you check your sites on staging for broken links so they will not be carried over to the live site when we delete those files from production on 11/7/03.
Please update your A-Z listings. Many listings still show Jill Garland as the "owner" or have the outdated URL's. Please go to the UCSF Public Affairs site to update them. Please check this document to see if your site is one of those sites which needs to be updated. For an explanation on how to do so please see the tutorial on this subject.
Presentation: Beth Berrean will discuss web site metrics/analytics. Find out how many people are visiting your site, where they are being referred from etc and learn how to use this information to improve the effectiveness of your site.
