Teaching Scholars Program

Patricia Cornett, MD (TSP 2002-2003) is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, based at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Stanford University and a medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She completed her residency and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Letterman Army Medical Center and joined the staff of Letterman in 1986. She moved to the VA in 1991 as the Chief of Clinical Hematology/Oncology and became the UCSF H/O Fellowship Director in 1998. More recently, in 2001 she was named the Associate Chief of the Medical Service and the Associate Chief of Staff for Education at the VA as well as the Associate Chair for Education in the Department of Medicine at UCSF.
