Teaching Scholars Program Calvin Chou, MD, PhD (TSP 2000-2001) is Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine. After undergraduate work at Yale, he received his PhD in microbiology and his MD at Columbia University, and subsequently completed residency training in internal medicine at UCSF. Currently he is Director of the Medical Consultation service, based at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, and Co-Director of Foundations of Patient Care, a pre-clerkship medical school course focusing on developing skills in interviewing, physical examination, and professionalism, and clinical reasoning. His research interests include assessment of curricular developments in clinical skills for medical students and residents. |
