Teaching Scholars Program
is Assistant
Professor of Medicine with the Division of General Internal Medicine,
Department of Internal Medicine at UCSF. She received her MD from Cornell
University Medical College and completed her Primary Care Internal Medicine
residency at UCSF/SFGH. She went on to a General Internal Medicine Fellowship
at UCSF, with a focus on medical education research. She currently serves
as the course director for the medical student course, Intersession,
and manages teaching activities in the screening and acute care clinic.
Her research interests are in medical student, resident, physician and
patient education. Her current research projects include evaluation
of a diagnostic algorithm for the diagnosis of pneumonia, use of an
informational and self-care kiosk for management of acute medical illnesses,
and assessment of the one-minute preceptor for teaching in the ambulatory
care setting.
