Teaching Scholars Program
is currently
a fourth year medical student at UCSF and will be taking a year off
before finishing medical school to complete a medical education fellowship
at UCSF. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from
Stanford in 2001. During the summer after her first year at UCSF she
was a curriculum ambassador and worked on both the histology and genetics
portions of the Prologue block. Her interest in education also led her
to participate in the Medical Scholars Program (MSP) in which second
year students teach a weekly review session for the first year students.
She has remained involved with MSP throughout her third year of medical
school as an MSP coordinator. For her teaching scholars project she
hopes to assess the effect of MSP on the first year students. After
graduating from UCSF in 2006, Tai plans to pursue residency training
in Pediatrics with a focus on medical education.
