Teaching Scholars Program Audrey Foster-Barber, M.D., Ph.D. (TSP 2005-2006)
completed her fellowship in child neurology and chief residency in neurology
at UCSF in 2005. She also completed a residency in pediatrics, a PhD
in biochemistry, and post-doctoral clinical research at UCSF. She recently
began a faculty position in child neurology. Despite a history of bench
and clinical research, she has chosen to switch gears and focus on her
long-standing interest in clinical education. Her main goal is to improve
the knowledge base and comfort level of primary care pediatricians with
the pediatric neurologic examination and common pediatric neurology
problems. She hopes to develop a curriculum and assessment tools to
be used by residents and medical students in the outpatient pediatric
clinic and inpatient services.
