Teaching Scholars Program

Lisa Chen, MD (TSP 2004-2005) is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine in the UCSF Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at San Francisco General Hospital. She earned her MD from the University of Michigan, completed Internal Medicine training in the Cornell program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering/Northshore University Hospitals, and completed her Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship training at UCSF. Currently she is the Co-director of the SFGH MICU and the Assistant Medical Director of the San Francisco Tuberculosis Control Program. She is a lecturer and consultant for the Francis J. Curry National TB Center, which is a CDC-funded center specializing in the production of state-of-the-art educational tools and coursework. She has also served for three years as the co-director of the Introduction to Clinical Medicine: Chest Section, and continues as a regular lecturer for the Organs block for respiratory disease. Dr. Chen helps to oversee the intensive care curriculum and training for medical residents at SFGH and plans to develop independent web-based training modules for the ICU.
