is an
Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Geriatrics.
She received her MD from Brown University and completed her residency
in Internal Medicine at UCSF. She has been actively involved in teaching
medical students and residents, particularly primary care internal medicine
residents, and this fall will be co-directing the Problem Based Learning
course for the second year medical students. She is the director of
the Nursing Home Care Unit at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, and
is associate director of Geriatrics and Extended Care. Her interests
include ethnogeriatrics particularly at the end of life, teaching geriatrics
to generalists, and assessment of strategies to effectively incorporate
geriatrics into the internal medicine curriculum.
