Medical Student Well-Being Program
Putting Your Wellness First

The Well-Being Program promotes a healthy learning environment at the UCSF School of Medicine. We support wellness for students including mental and physical health, and spiritual, financial, environmental, and social well-being.

We provide free confidential counseling for all medical students. Our staff is here to assist students with a broad range of difficulties that may arise during their medical education. All student information is kept confidential from the School of Medicine.

We also lead workshops and presentations promoting wellness throughout the school year. For example, we lead Well-Being Rounds in the hospital for third-year students who are on rotation. We organize workshops for first-year students linked with their curriculum to introduce wellness topics and self-care lifestyle choices. We host panel discussions on a broad range of issues including mental health, eating disorders, coping with board exams, and transitioning to internships.

We also provide consultation to medical students, faculty, and house staff on issues pertaining to medical student well-being.

Please contact us at 415-476-0468 if we can be of assistance.
