Assistant in Quality of Care Measurement
We are seeking research assistants (1 full time, 3 part-time) to help
with a project which is doing quality of care measurement at Moffitt-Long
Hospital.
Part-time RA’s will be responsible for the abstracting diagnosis
and treatment information from medical records onto standardized forms.
The work required involves reading medical records, completing the abstraction
form, keeping track of abstraction status, participating in research team
meetings and performing other duties as assigned.
Optimal candidates will be able to commit to a minimum of 6 hours per
week for at least 4 months. Pertinent experience in clinical research
environment and experience in scientific or medical field preferred. Salary
will be $14.91-$18.81 per hour depending on experience.
Along with current full-time staff, the Full Time RA will oversee several
functions of two related projects. This work will include:
- Chart abstractions collecting detailed data regarding patient care.
- Patient interviews (both by phone and in-person)
- Managing research database, including regular audits of data, generating
reports, and occasional data analysis
- Editing/auditing of current chart abstraction tools
- Audit of ongoing chart abstraction work performed by part-time RA’s
This position will be open until June 2006, and could be optimal for
students who are taking time off between academic years. Salary $14.91-$18.81
per hour depending on experience, plus full benefits.
