We are seeking a research assistant to help with a project investigating the relationship between migration, acculturation to the United States and risk of pediatric obesity.

The Job: Interviews with parents and children in grades 4-6 recruited from San Francisco Catholic Schools in the Mission District of San Francisco. There is a simultaneous study being conducted in the public schools of Tijuana, Mexico.

The Rewards: Authorship of any publications, experience with conducting interviews and taking anthropometric measurements, Microsoft Access/Excel and basic statistics.

This is an excellent opportunity for an interested medical student to join a community-based project. Some experience conducting interviews is helpful. Student needs to have conversational abilities in Spanish.
