Please contact Dr. Stephanie Taché (stache@globalhealth.ucsf.edu) We are seeking a research assistant to help with a project evaluating the expanded role of medical assistants in the Teamlet model of chronic disease care for underserved patient populations at the San Francisco General Hospital Family Health Center. The Job: Participating in interviews with patients and medical assistants enrolled in the Chronic Disease Collaborative at the San Francisco General Hospital Family Health Center. Coding and analyzing transcripts of the interviews. The Rewards: Authorship of any publications; Experience with qualitative research methods including participating in focus group interviews, coding and analyzing interview transcripts using Atlas. This is an excellent opportunity for an interested medical student to join a health services research project based in the community. Students should have a keen interest in health policy and health systems organization and be interested in learning qualitative research methods.
