The Sandler Postdoctoral Research Fellowships are designed to encourage creative and independent research driven by postdoctoral scholars. This funding is intended to support postdocs who wish to explore research directions that may not be directly linked to the research interests of their PI. While planning for this fellowship program is still in progress some likely elements of the program are listed below: 25% salary support (up to $12,000) Applications will be available in February 2006 and funding will begin in June 2006. We anticipate funding seven UCSF postdoctoral fellows for one year. |
