Educational Evaluations Educational Evaluations oversees evaluation design, implementation and reporting to inform curricular decision making for the core UCSF School of Medicine curriculum, instructors and medical students. As required by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accreditation body, we guide program improvement through evaluating the effectiveness of the educational program in an ongoing manner using students evaluations of their courses and faculty, and documenting the extent to which our curriculum objectives have been met (LCME Standards ED-46, ED-47: For more information on LCME education standards visit http://www.lcme.org/standard.htm) Overview of Educational Evaluation Educational Evaluations oversees all curricular evaluation and learner assessment for the core undergraduate medical education curriculum at the UCSF School of Medicine. This oversight includes evaluation of both the ongoing curriculum, as well as pilot studies or innovations implemented within the curriculum. Educational Evaluations is responsible to ensure that all curriculum evaluation is conducted in an independent, methodologically rigorous and timely manner. This includes:
Evaluations Evaluations are entered online using the E*Value system. Medical students and faculty members have the right and the responsibility to complete evaluations in a timely and constructive manner. It is our responsibility to protect that right to evaluate and to make students' views known to the appropriate people, while protecting privacy and data.
Survey Services We provide services for conducting surveys for instructional educational research purposes. We can provide paper-based or online survey solutions.
