Computer Classrooms

The UCSF Library's Interactive Learning Centers (ILCs) maintain 2 computing classrooms available for curricular or training purposes.

Computing Labs/Helpdesks

The UCSF Library's Interactive Learning Centers (ILCs) maintain 2 computing labs and accompanying help desks. Housed in the Library and the Medical Sciences building, the ILCs provide access to computing resources for UCSF students, faculty, and personnel in support of instructional and research computing at UCSF.

Electronic Course Reserves

EReserves is a service provided by the UCSF Library to electronically house copies of articles or book chapters that UCSF does not have electronic access to. EReserves helps manage copyright and actually housing electronic (PDF) copies of the material. In essence EReserves is no different than PubMed, in that E-Reserves is the mechanism by which students gain access to licensed electronic material.

Multimedia Development Facilities

The UCSF Library Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) Lab has been established to encourage UCSF faculty in the development of innovative, computer-based multimedia programs that enhance the curricula of UCSF's professional schools. Its primary mission is to provide centralized resources that will lead to the creation of new tools for use within the university's academic educational programs.

The CIT Lab consists of individual workstations equipped with development-level computers with multimedia software and peripherals. Schedule appointments with CIT Lab staff to discuss project ideas and their implementation, to learn how to use the CIT Lab equipment, and to get help identifying commercially available software in your field of interest.

The CIT Lab includes an Audio/Video Production Room where CIT Lab users can create and edit audio and video programs in a private and quiet place.
