Cancer Bench To Bedside: Chipping Away at the DNA In translational science, basic research informs clinical practice and vice-versa. In this recent lecture, renowned researchers Joe DeRisi, PhD, and Katherine Hyland, PhD, begin at the "bench" by describing genomic alterations that occur in cancer cells, and how applications of genomic technologies use this information for diagnostic and therapeutic management. This lecture is part of the popular series Mini Medical School for the Public organized by the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine.
