Transforming Health and Improving Lives: UCSF National Center of Excellence in Women's Health Celebrates Tenth Anniversary 06.26.07

The last decade has seen major advances in women’s health, and the UCSF CoE has played a key role in this process, leading innovations in clinical practice, discovery of new knowledge, and professional and community education and leadership development. In partnership with community, the UCSF National Center of Excellence is spear-heading initiatives to transform women's health and improve women's lives. Research The comprehensive CoE research agenda promotes the investi-gation of women’s unique health needs across the life span. Discovery of new knowledge that improves women's health is the focus at the Center for Reproductive Science, the Women's Health Clinical Research Center, the Women's Global Health Imperative, the Bixby Center for Reproductive Health Research and Policy, and the Comprehensive Cancer Center. ![]() Shehua Shen, MD, examines samples in the embryology laboratory at the Center for Reproductive Health Patient Care The CoE specializes in innovative health care to meet the individual needs and preferences of women. Our clinical programs are located across UCSF campuses and range from primary care to specialty services. Our Women’s Health Resource Center offers information through conferences and classes, a lending library, and community referrals on all aspects of women’s health.
