A Monthly Digest for Faculty and Staff at UCSF School of Medicine
How can we break out of silos and scale across UCSF? A report from the annual School of Medicine leadership retreat reveals partnership possibilities and insights from “boundary spanners.”
Submit ideas for UCSF Center for Healthcare Value’s Caring Wisely Ideas Contest on how we can reduce waste to improve care (such as unnecessary processes, tests, procedures or inefficiencies). You do not have to describe how to implement the idea. Deadline is 2/12.
Department chairs: Submit applications for Dean's Diversity Fund grants to help recruit and retain faculty who are deeply committed to diversity and service to the underserved or vulnerable populations. Recipients will be named John A. Watson Scholars. Deadline is 3/21.
Staff: Applications are due 2/8 for the WINGS Employee Development Grant program, which offers financial assistance for professional and career development.
The Clinical Sciences Building demolition is set to begin on 2/8. Regular updates will be posted online and near the construction site and adjacent buildings.
New name, new website: The Center for Health Professions is now Healthforce Center at UCSF.
