Educational Research Program
Promote research in medical education through consultation, collaboration, and support services.
We provide educational research support to encourage students, residents, fellows and faculty to undertake research studies resultling in presentation and/or publication. Additionally, the program provides opportunities for students and residents to learn educational research by their participation in research studies to develop skills and expertise. We offer assistance to trainees and faculty in this process.
The Educational Research Program oversees and manages the services and resources necessary for studies to be successful.
The Program is dedicated to linking researchers and future researchers with the funding they need to further develop their educational research careers. Faculty may apply for small grants through our office, and all levels of trainees have the opportunity to work in OME as research assistants and gain experience about the processes involved in educational research. We also aim to provide information about funding sources from outside UCSF for educational research.
The Educational Research Program is a new program within the Office of Medical Education that formalizes and expands on existing services.
