Osher Center For Integrative Medicine

Overview

The Osher Center for integrative Medicine had seen dynamic growth since its inception in 1997. Their website needed to reflect that growth and showcase the breadth and depth of their current work in integrative medicine. Most importantly, the new site needed to:

• Position their unique identify within the School of Medicine and Integrative Medicine community
• Be inviting to patients but also reflects the educational, research and public service aspects of their work
• Require hassle-free maintenance and be easily adaptable

The Solution

The Osher sitemap and navigation now reflect a balanced view of the work of the Center. A Flash banner on the home page welcomes visitors to the homepage and conveys with clarity the calmness and rigor of the Center's activities. The virtual tour gives patients an idea of what to expect while the subscribe button offers an opportunity to engage. ISU partnered with Osher each step along the way to explore, understand, and prioritize the options of creating a new website.

Results

Osher has a new site that it can easily update, the ability to track the sites use and a new way to managed subscription to its online newsletter. Since the site's launch, Osher has added new sub-sites, incorporated video and overall made the website an essential part of its communication strategy.
