Residents & Fellows
UCSF is the only UC campus (of 9 total) that is solely devoted to graduate and professional study in the health sciences. UCSF is dedicated to providing Residents and Fellows with the best educational programs possible while continuing to focus on a supportive work environment.
The UCSF School of Medicine offers professional postdoctoral programs for residents and clinical fellows, utilizing facilities in San Francisco, Fresno, Salinas, and Santa Rosa. The first-board programs include Anesthesia, Dermatology, Family Practice, Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Pathology (Laboratory Medicine), Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Surgery and Urology. All resident programs meet or exceed the formal standards of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and the appropriate specialty boards. Curricula are offered in 16 (17 if you count Laboratory Medicine) disciplines.
