Research Description:
|
Dr. Glantz conducts research in cardiac mechanics, tobacco policy and politics, and the health affects of passive smoking on the heart. His work in cardiac mechanics concentrates on ventricular function, how the chambers of the heart interact with each other, and how these interactions change in the presence of disease. This work includes both experimental and theoretical aspects. His work on tobacco concetrates on studying how the tobacco industry uses the political process to spread cancer and heart disease.
