Clinical Studies

The Clinical Studies Steering Committee (CSSC) oversees the curriculum for the third and fourth years of medical school, including core clerkships, the structured clinical programs (Model SFGH, VALOR, PISCES), intersessions, the fourth year's advanced studies, Coda and the Pathways to Discovery . The CSSC reports to the CCEP, the School of Medicine’s overall curriculum oversight and policy-setting committee, which is appointed by the Faculty Council, and thus accountable to the Faculty Senate.

The Clinical Clerkships Operations Committee (CCOC) is comprised of clerkship and site directors. The group reviews and improves learning objectives, site standards, student assessment, and evaluation.
