Clinical Studies

The Clinical Studies Steering Committee (CSSC) oversees the curriculum for the third and fourth years of medical school, including clerkships, intersessions, and the fourth year's advanced studies, areas of concentration, and scholarly project. The CSSC reports to the CCEP, the major School of Medicine forum for dealing with the entire four year curriculum and with issues of import, such as the structure of the clinical core, the lengths of various required clerkships, whether a given clerkship is elective or required.

The Clinical Clerkships Operations Committee (CCOC) is comprised of clerkship and site directors. The group reviews and improves learning objectives, site standards, student assessment, and evaluation.
