Sophia Vinogradov, MD

Dr. Sophia Vinogradov developed a preceptorship for third and fourth year students in which the students, in the role of primary clinician, provide psychopharmacologic evaluations and recommend treatment for patients with a broad array of psychiatric problems. In this activity, Dr. Vinogradov has achieved no average rating less than 4.89 on a five scale over the past five years. She is a recipient of the Academic Senates Distinction in Teaching Award, among other awards. She is an innovative and collaborative program designer who is playing a key role in the development of the Brain, Mind and Behavior block. An accomplished researcher in clinical neurosciences and biological psychiatry, she is a role model for students with academic and research interests.
