Innovations Funding: Priorities

Funding Priorities for Fall 2009 (funding cycle 2010-2011)

The goal of this year's round of Innovation Funding grants is to promote collaborative curriculum, assessment, and faculty development programs with a high potential to spread or generalize.

The specific areas of focus prioritized for this year's IF call are:

  • Clinical education, broadly conceived
  • Continued development of the Pathways to Discovery program

Regardless of a proposal's specific focus, we have a particular interest in projects that will do one or more of the following:

  • involve both UME and GME learners
  • represent collaborations across several departments
  • experiment with innovative pedagogical approaches that strengthen peer/near-peer teaching or enable asynchronous engagement with content

Faculty whose project ideas are not related to this year's curriculum priorities are still encouraged to submit proposals. Funding will not be restricted to prioritized areas.
