The Academy's Peer Observation Teaching Improvement Program (TIP)

To initiate the Teaching Improvement Program (TIP) follow the steps below:

  1. Identify the master teacher you wish to observe or the type of teaching you are most interested in observing: Inpatient Attending Rounds, Small Group Teaching, Large Group Teaching, or Outpatient Precepting.

  2. E-mail Kathleen Land with your choices and she will help you to arrange the observation.

  3. If you haven't yet done so, please review the TIP powerpoint presentation. You may also want to look at the observation form that your mentor will use (see links below).

  4. After the observation session, you will receive an e-mail with a link to an evaluation form so you may provide us with feedback on the process.
